The Magha Purnima is also called as Maghi Purnima. The holy festival Kumbh Mela and the Magha Mela ( annual events) takes place at a confluence of three rivers (Triveni Sangam) in Prayag or Allahabad.

Makar Sankranti 1st Shahi Snan

On the start of the Maha Kumbh Mela in Allahabad, devotees gather to take bath at the confluence of the Ganges, Yamuna and mythical Saraswati river which is called as Triveni Sangam. Naga Sadhus take a dip during the first 'Shahi Snan' at the ongoing 'Kumbh Mela'.

Ganga Aarti

Peshwai at Kumbh

Peshwai is a royal procession of the Naga Sadhus during Kumbh Mela. The Peshwai marks the arrival of the members of an akhara or sect of sadhus at the Kumbh Mela. The procession pomp and ceremony with elephants, and horses. During the procession, sadhus perform acrobatic skills and breathtaking display of their martial skills with the help of swords.
